# Terms of Service & Referral Rewards

**Welcome to WorldCal:** By installing, accessing, or using WorldCal Multi-Calendar, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the application. Paid subscription availability depends on the installed build and Google Play configuration.
## 1. Agreement & License Grant
WorldCal Multi-Calendar is developed by Krishna moni Borah and published under CIBRU. We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to use the application on compatible Android devices strictly in accordance with these Terms.
## 2. Intended Purpose & Chronological Disclaimers
WorldCal Multi-Calendar is an educational, cultural, and comparative calendar utility. It enables users to compare the same civil days across supported calendar variants, browse bundled historical events, and save local comparisons. Availability, calculation rules, reference place, day association, and validated date range vary by calendar. It does not read or sync your Android calendar-provider appointments.
- **Authoritative Computational Foundations:** Calculations in WorldCal are based on established scholarly ephemeris algorithms (including Jean Meeus's *Astronomical Algorithms*, Reingold & Dershowitz's *Calendrical Calculations*, the Indian Calendar Reform Committee Report by Meghnad Saha and N. C. Lahiri, and pinned ICU 75.1 Umm al-Qura civil tables).
- **Preservation of Historical Uncertainty:** Unlike software that coerces historical events to arbitrary dates (such as January 1), WorldCal explicitly preserves authentic chronological intervals and scholarly variations. Competing calendar traditions and regional panjika variations may yield different local observances.
- **Informational Use Only:** WorldCal is provided for personal reference and educational purposes. It must not be relied upon as the sole legal basis for statutory deadlines, commercial contract filings, legal disputes, or critical navigation.
## 3. Free Tier & In-App Advertising
The core features of WorldCal Multi-Calendar are available free of charge. The app includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) banner and interstitial integration. In this version, production ad requests and explicit SDK initialization are disabled pending a consent/privacy-options implementation; debug builds permit only Google test ads. A future ad-enabled release must disclose the applicable consent choices. Paid sales are also disabled by default until the advertised ongoing benefit and launch configuration are ready.
## 4. Paid Services, Billing & Subscriptions (WorldCal Premium)
When enabled, users may optionally purchase WorldCal Premium through Google Play in three recurring plan structures:
- **Weekly:** default product `worldcal_weekly`, $0.49/week catalog price, billed immediately with no free trial.
- **Monthly:** default product `worldcal_monthly`, $1.49/month catalog price, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers when offered.
- **Annual:** default product `worldcal_annual`, $14.99/year catalog price, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers when offered.
All three tiers provide the same Premium ad-free entitlement while valid. These US-dollar prices and product IDs are provisional configuration defaults; Google Play supplies the actual localized price and renewal details. **Trial eligibility is managed by Google Play, not CIBRU.** For an eligible monthly or annual trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial end shown by Google Play to avoid the automatic recurring charge. Ineligible accounts may purchase the matching paid base plan without a trial. When paid sales or the relevant product are unavailable, a preview card does not establish that it can be purchased. - **No User-Created CIBRU Account Required:** Subscriptions are managed directly by Google Play using the purchasing Google account. The app does not require a CIBRU email registration, username, or login password.
- **Billing & Automatic Renewal:** Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Billing at the price displayed before confirmation. An enabled subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through Google Play before the next renewal shown there.
- **Cancellation:** Open Google Play Store → profile icon → **Payments & subscriptions** → **Subscriptions**, select WorldCal Multi-Calendar, and tap **Cancel subscription**. You can also use the Google Play Subscriptions page. Cancellation stops future renewals while Google Play normally keeps access available through the already-paid period.
- **Restore Purchases:** Reinstalling the app or switching devices allows you to tap **Restore Purchases** while signed into the purchasing Google Play account. Verified access is bounded by the app’s 72-hour offline cache and requires online re-verification after a device reboot.
- **Verification:** Pending payments do not grant Premium. A completed purchase must be verified by the backend. Verification or restoration can be delayed by connectivity or service availability; see Subscriptions & Refunds for support and refund requests.
- **Purchase-data deletion:** The Premium dialog can request deletion for purchase records available on the device and pause automatic verification uploads across restarts. Only an explicit **Restore Purchases** action clears that pause within the app; opening a paywall or tapping a new purchase does not. Deletion does not cancel Google Play billing or issue a refund. ## 5. Optional Referral Rewards Program
WorldCal includes an optional referral program allowing users to unlock free Premium time by introducing new genuine users through Google Play. Opening **Get Free Premium** enables referral synchronization. Successful attribution requires the invited user to enable referrals as well as complete eligible installation and backend verification; an install or link click alone does not award a reward.

### Referral Terms & Integrity Invariants
- **Cumulative Entitlement:** Each milestone is awarded once per eligible app-scoped profile. Days extend the current unexpired reward, or start from the grant time if it has expired. The final milestone adds 36,500 days; it is not an unlimited-duration purchase.
- **Ad-Free Access:** While a referral reward is active, all banner and interstitial ads are suppressed, providing the exact same ad-free experience as a paid subscription.
- **Strict Prohibition of Abuse:** Self-referrals, emulated/virtual device farms, script automation, duplicate installs, and misleading distribution are prohibited. CIBRU may reject invalid attribution or revoke fraudulently obtained rewards.
- **No Cash Value:** Referral rewards are non-monetary promotional privileges without cash surrender value. Referral rewards do not pause, extend, or refund concurrently active paid Google Play subscriptions.
- **Unsyncing & Deletion:** Our Unsync Page opens a device deep link that disables referral synchronization and referral-based ad-free access locally. It leaves the server profile intact and does not affect a separate valid paid subscription. Reopening **Get Free Premium** enables sync again. ## 6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or exploit the proprietary code, astronomical engine models, or calendar databases of WorldCal, except where permitted by applicable law. You may not use the app to distribute malware, automate abusive network requests, or disrupt backend verification infrastructure.
## 7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WorldCal Multi-Calendar is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. CIBRU and its developer Krishna moni Borah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the application or any chronological discrepancies therein.
