Privacy Policy - Secure PC Keyboard
# Privacy PolicyEffective date: September 1, 2026 · Version 2.0
> **Privacy summary:** Keyboard input is processed on your device and sent only to a computer you choose through Bluetooth, USB, or an authenticated local-network connection. We do not operate a service that stores your keystrokes. The free tier uses Google Mobile Ads, and subscription purchase tokens are sent securely to our verification service as described below.
## 1. Who operates the app
Secure PC Keyboard is operated by its independent developer. For privacy questions or requests, email support@cibru.in.
## 2. Data the app processes
- **Keyboard and clipboard content:** Text and key commands you choose to send are processed transiently to deliver them to your selected computer. Clipboard content is accessed only when you invoke a clipboard action or enable the related sync feature. We do not store this content on our servers.
- **Connection information:** The app processes Bluetooth device identifiers and names, local IP address and port, authentication PINs, QR connection payloads, and PC certificate fingerprints as needed to pair with and authenticate a computer.
- **Settings:** Keyboard layout, shortcuts, appearance, connection preferences, and premium-entitlement state are stored locally on your device.
- **Camera:** If you choose QR setup, live camera images are processed on the device to read the PC companion's QR code. The app does not save or upload those images.
- **Purchases:** Google Play handles payment details. The app receives product, purchase-status, and purchase-token information. It sends the package name, product ID, and purchase token over HTTPS to our verification service to validate and maintain Pro access.
- **Advertising data:** The free tier uses Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may automatically collect or receive device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and advertising-related information to provide, measure, prevent fraud in, and personalize ads, subject to your region and consent choices.
## 3. How data is used and shared
Data is used to provide keyboard and connection features, remember settings, verify subscriptions, show ads to free-tier users, maintain security, diagnose failures, and comply with law. Data may be transmitted to:
- the computer and companion server you explicitly connect to;
- Google Play for billing and subscription management;
- Google Mobile Ads and participating advertising partners for ad delivery and related purposes; and
- our subscription-verification service, limited to the purchase-verification fields listed above.
We do not sell your keyboard or clipboard content. For details about Google's processing and controls, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
## 4. Local transfers and security
Bluetooth HID reports and USB communication travel directly to the paired or attached computer. Network connection and clipboard features communicate with the PC companion you configure. Supported network connections use TLS and certificate verification. Protect the PC companion PIN, verify certificate prompts, and use a trusted local network. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.
## 5. Storage and retention
App preferences, trusted-PC certificate fingerprints, and entitlement information remain on the device until you reset them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Sensitive local values are stored using Android Keystore-backed encrypted preferences where supported. The subscription-verification service may retain purchase-token and entitlement records for as long as needed to verify access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Google and advertising partners retain data under their own policies.
## 6. Permissions
- **Nearby devices/Bluetooth:** connect to and advertise the device as a keyboard.
- **Camera:** optionally scan a PC companion QR code.
- **Notifications and foreground service:** keep an active device connection visible and reliable.
- **Internet and network state:** connect to the local PC companion, load ads, use Google Play billing, and verify subscriptions.
- **Vibration:** provide optional keypress feedback.
## 7. Your choices
You can deny optional camera and notification permissions, avoid clipboard/network sync, disconnect or forget a PC, change ad-consent choices when offered, buy Pro to remove ads, and clear local data by using Android settings or uninstalling the app. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled in Google Play subscriptions. To ask about verification data or request deletion where applicable, contact us at the address below. Some records may be retained when required for security, transactions, or law.
## 8. Children
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in their country). We do not knowingly collect children's keyboard or clipboard content. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
## 9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice in the app when required. Questions and privacy requests: support@cibru.in.
